Carotid Interventions
The physicians of the Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute team have long-standing relationships with your personal physician and look forward to caring for you during your stay.
Your experience at Lenox Hill Catheterization Laboratory includes care from a team of experienced staff members who will ensure that your visit goes smoothly.
Two types of specialized physicians and their clinical support staff will attend to your medical needs. A Clinical Cardiologist will manage your day-to-day medical care in the nursing unit in concert with the clinical staff. An Interventional Cardiologist, Neuroradiologist, or Vascular Surgeon will perform the actual procedure.
At the end of your procedure, the Interventionalist will provide you and your family with an explanation of the results of the procedure and a photo of your treated artery or so you can view the results of your procedure. The Interventionalist will also share the results of your procedure with your physician and send a copy of your report to his or her office.
