Lenox Hill Heart & Vascular Institute: Our Team

Meet Our Team

From diagnosis to treatment and recovery, the Institute provides a continuum of progressive care through its distinguished, multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, and radiologists. Our team approach, with different specialists working side-by-side allows us to provide a level of care that is often not possible for any one clinical specialist, whether it be minimally invasive or traditional open surgery. Our physicians are highly respected in their fields and constantly seek to broaden the understanding of cardiovascular disease through research and clinical trials.

Cardiac and Vascular Interventions

Our interventional cardiology service is a premier program offering the latest techniques in using non-surgical interventions to treat arterial disease, such as angioplasty & stenting. Our cardiologists were instrumental in the FDA approval of drug-eluting stents. Our team also use interventional procedures to treat other cardiac conditions, such as PFO, a structural & congenital heart defect. When you come to Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute, you are seen by some of the leading cardiologists in the world who lend their vast intellectual experience and many years of technical expertise to your care.

Cardiac Surgery

The Cardiac Surgical group at Lenox Hill Hospital is committed to offering the best and most advanced surgical care for adult heart disease available today. Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology is a subspecialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. Dr. Rosen is internationally known as a leading authority on embolization and the management of uterine fibroids, AVMs, liver tumors and is one of only two physicians in this country who perform on vascular malformations. The cutting edge techniques performed by our IR team represent another dimension of our multidisciplinary approach to cardiovascular care.

Neurointerventional Radiology

Neurointerventional radiologists add another dimension to our multidisciplinary approach to stroke treatment and prevention. Working with interventional cardiologists and neurologists, this team, specializes in neurological procedures and uses their expertise in imaging to administer clot-busting drugs in the brain and treat blockages in the carotid artery to prevent stroke. These nonsurgical techniques are just two of the many ways neurointerventional radiologists are advancing medicine to improve outcomes for patients with life-threatening conditions.

Electrophysiology

Electrophysiology is the study of abnormal heart rhythms, also known as arrhythmias. Our state-of-the-art EP Lab includes sophisticated technology to diagnose and map the electrical pathways in the heart. Our EP team is comprised of highly experienced physicians and nurses committed to delivering care with compassion to patients and their families.

Clinical Cardiology

Clinical cardiology is the backbone of any cardiology group. Clinical cardiologists are the first to see patients either in the emergency department or the office and make the determination after careful assessment as to what a likely diagnosis is, how most effectively to confirm the diagnosis and then how best to treat the problem.
