Dr. Vicken Pamoukian did his general surgical training at Lenox Hill Hospital and continued on to a coveted vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester. He then returned to Lenox Hill and began a successful vascular surgery practice.
Dr. Pamoukian's clinical expertise is in the area of minimally invasive vascular surgery using balloon angioplasty and stenting and atherectomy devices for opening up the blood vessels. Dr. Pamoukian is experienced in all areas of complex endovascular surgery, including thoracic and abdominal aneurysms, as well as carotid, peripheral, and renal stenting.
Dr. Pamoukian also employs the full gamut of open traditional vascular surgery techniques in treating his patients. He has great expertise in the treatment of aortic aneurysms and revascularization of the legs as well as in carotid artery surgery.
In addition, Dr. Pamoukian offers cosmetic vein procedures. Using the latest technology in cosmetic surgery, he treats varicose veins with lasers for closure of the veins, as well as superficial dermal lasers and sclerotherapy for spider veins and telangectesias.
Dr. Pamoukian speaks more than six languages. He is an accomplished artist, having exhibited his abstract paintings in galleries. Dr. Pamoukian has been the house physician for the Metropolitan Opera and the American Ballet Theater. He has a wife and two little girls.
